Blood Moon

By Gale Maiden

The upcoming tetrad of full lunar eclipses is certainly “the talk of the town” among Judeo Christian communities. These four full lunar eclipses are being labeled as “blood moons” and are to happen on the Jewish Feast of Passover and the Feast of Tabernacles in both 2014 and 2015.

The name “blood moon” is derived from the bloody red color which sometimes appears over the whole eclipsed moon during a full lunar eclipse. What is the significance of these heavenly events?

End of the World?

From every walk of life and religions there are questions concerning heavenly signs; questions especially concerning the upcoming four “blood moons”. We see in scripture that the moon is noted as having an appearance of blood. This coloration of the moon is associated with what is called the “great and notable day of the Lord.”  “Blood moons” are associated with the “last days”. What is the great and notable day of the Lord? What and when are the last days?

God’s Moon is Good

We are told in scripture that God has specific purposeful functions for the heavenly luminaries who include but are not exclusive to the sun, moon and stars. God created all things in six days. On the fourth day God created the following:

Then God said, “Let there be lights (sun, moon and stars) in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night, and let them be for signs and for seasons and for days and years; and let them be for lights in the expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth“; and it was so. God made the two great lights, the greater light (SUN) to govern (grant dominion over) the day, and the lesser light (MOON) to govern (grant dominion over) the night; He made the stars also. God placed them in the expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth, and to govern the day and the night, and to separate the light from the darkness; and God saw that it was good. There was evening and there was morning, a fourth day.

Genesis 1:14-19 NASU

God’s Good Moon Gives us Dominion Over the Darkness of Night

The sun, moon and stars primary function is to separate day and night. Also these lights are for signs, seasons, dates and years and to give light on the earth. The sun and the moon are the greater lights with the sun being greater than the moon. The sun grants humanity dominion over the day. The moon grants humanity dominion over the darkness of night. God saw all of this as good!

The Heavens Ain’t Talking No Trash

The Psalmist David said…

The heavens are telling of the glory of God;

And their expanse is declaring the work of His hands.

Psalm 19:1 NASU

In light of the upcoming four “blood” moons (first blood moon is past) we should be looking for the goodness and glory of God. God placed the moon in the heavens so that we His people would have dominion over the darkness.

The upcoming tetrad of full lunar eclipses (first happened in spring of 2014 at Passover) are a part of God’s goodness in giving us signs of the present condition or atmosphere of the heart of man. These four full lunar eclipses coincide with Passover and Tabernacles in both 2014 and 2015.

First the Natural Then the Spiritual

The alignment of the sun, earth and moon sets up a natural and spiritual portrait of the earth’s atmosphere. As the sun releases its light over the entirety of the earth it produces specific colors on the moon. The color projected on the moon is an indicator of the natural composition of the earth’s atmosphere. Prophetically speaking the atmosphere of the earth is a product of the hearts of men (Matthew 13…the kingdom of heaven). On the second day of creation God created an expanse called heaven which includes the present atmosphere around us. Adam and Eve enjoyed this heaven on earth in a location called the Garden of Eden or Paradise.

On the fourth day of creation God began at the circle of clouds which He created on the second day and created the higher heavens, sun, moon,, stars etc.

Noted above is the fact that these four upcoming lunar eclipses coincide with the Jewish feasts of Passover and Tabernacles. Passover is the first of seven major annual Jewish feasts with Tabernacles being the seventh and final feast of the year. These seven feasts represent the whole process of redemption unto life. Passover of course represents the shedding of Christ’s blood for the life of all mankind. When the children of Israel applied the blood of the lamb to the doorposts of their dwellings the death angel passed over granting the surety of life.

The Feast of Tabernacles again is the seventh and final major feast which  is a celebration of God’s presence in His fullness in each of us as temples (tabernacles) of God.

Oh How God Loves His Created!

I believe that the God ordained loving act of presenting the world with these four lunar eclipses is an indicator of God’s desire for His children to walk in the fullness of the shed blood and resurrection. Jesus shed his blood to end the shedding of blood. As long as the projection of the earth’s atmosphere displays a “blood red” color my understanding is that there is work to be done to consummate the age of sin in the world. There should be no blood shed after Christ shed his blood.

A blood moon is an indicator that we have work to do. The good news is that Passover thru Tabernacles is symbolic of our perfection thus the ability in Christ to alleviate the earth of continued bloodshed. When the moon literally is white during a lunar eclipse we know that we have overcome the shedding of blood.

NASA Article Excerpt

In an article written by a NASA engineer he asks us to picture ourselves on the dusty moon looking back toward earth during the time of a full lunar eclipse. He says our view would be an earth encircled with sunlight reflecting every sunrise and sunset. This speaks to my heart in implying that every daily earthly activity is exposed by the sunlight. The sun is symbolic of the spirit of God. The moon is symbolic of the souls of men.

These blood moons are like progress reports given in our education system. These reports reflect the current standing in the educational maturing process. Also these reports give recommendations concerning specific areas where students may be lacking and also commendations on areas of exemplary work.

It is important in the understanding and functionality of heavenly signs that we see them not so much as future events but as present indicators of present conditions. It is impossible to function in the future. It is our “now” that determines our tomorrow; a tomorrow which arrives only to be called now!

No Need for Sunlight, Moonlight or Starlight

I saw no temple in it (New Jerusalem) for the Lord God the Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. And the city has no need of the sun or of the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God has illumined it, and its lamp is the Lamb. The nations will walk by its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their glory into it. In the daytime (for there will be no night there) its gates will never be closed; and they will bring the glory and the honor of the nations into it.

Revelation 21:22-26 NASU

My Grandaughter’s Perspective of the Moon

God gave His heavenly hosts eyes to see and a voice to bless sons of God.

My granddaughter, who at age three lived near Dallas, Texas, had a “moon” declaration. My wife would call when the moon was visible and have our granddaughter look at the moon and say, “I see the moon and moon sees me: God bless the moon and God bless me!”

God Don’t Talk No Trash

A rock and roll band called Creedence Clearwater Revival sang a song titled;

My understanding is that a young Christian member of the band wrote this song. No doubt probably came from a “negative” approach to end time revelation.

I see the bad moon a-rising
I see trouble on the way
I see earthquakes and lightnin’
I see bad times today

Chorus: Don’t go around tonight
Well, it’s bound to take your life
There’s a bad moon on the rise

I hear hurricanes a-blowing
I know the end is coming soon
I fear rivers over flowing
I hear the voice of rage and ruin

Hope you got your things together
Hope you are quite prepared to die
Looks like we’re in for nasty weather
One eye is taken for an eye

Rejoice  because God has given believers ALL POWER to declare a GOOD MOON  A’RISEN

Jesus Our Messiah Has Come…The Second Time?

Jesus Our Messiah Has Come…The Second Time?

By Gale Maiden

What Must We Do?

While recently reading Isaiah 61, I was gloriously inspired when I again realized the high calling of God on Jesus our Messiah; that same high calling which we as followers of Christ are also called (Philippians 3).

There is one exception to our high calling and that is the high calling of Christ’s death alone on the cross for our sins. Only Christ qualified and has fulfilled this call.  Our God given DNA is to co-labor with our Heavenly Father as adopted mature sons in ministering reconciliation to a dying world (II Corinthians 5). God is in both Jesus the Christ and in believers declaring reconciliation.

God’s Heart For Restoration of Mankind

Isaiah chapter 61 declares the loving heart desire of God for restoration of all things to those who will believe in and through His Christ and His christed anointed sons.

My heart raced while realizing that in Jesus’ advent 2000 years ago, all of the power and glory of God was made available for restoration to believers. The preaching and demonstration of the gospel of His presence (Matthew 24:3) has been the mandate since that time. We know that when the gospel of the presence of God in Christ has been preached throughout the world only then will the end (of sin) in the world happen.

Jesus Announces His Fulfillment As Messiah

When Jesus our Messiah appeared 2000 years ago in the temple (Luke 4:18) he announced that the following prophetic word given by the Prophet Isaiah (chapter 61) was being fulfilled at that moment. This word had been scribed by the Prophet Isaiah 700 years before Jesus appeared that day in the temple. The Prophet Isaiah wrote:

The Spirit of the Lord God (Yahweh) is upon me, Because the Lord has anointed me To bring good news to the afflicted; He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to captives And freedom to prisoners; To proclaim the favorable year of the Lord And the day of vengeance of our God; To comfort all who mourn, To grant those who mourn in Zion, Giving them a garland instead of ashes, The oil of gladness instead of mourning, The mantle of praise instead of a spirit of fainting. So they will be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.

Isaiah 61:1-3 NASU

It is most important to note that the purpose of salvation in Jesus our Messiah is that we as believers shall be called oaks or trees of righteousness plantings of the Lord. Jesus our Tree of Life has come and established the parameters of anointed ministry. The above scripture refers to believers as they. The above prophetic word was fulfilled when Jesus entered the temple and announced the following:

And he (Jesus) came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up. And as was his custom, he went to the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and he stood up to read and the scroll of the prophet Isaiah was given to him. He unrolled the scroll and found the place where it was written (Isaiah 61:1-3),

"The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor."

And he rolled up the scroll and gave it back to the attendant and sat down. And the eyes of all in the synagogue were fixed on him. And he began to say to them, "Today this Scripture has been fulfilled in your hearing."

Luke 4:16-21 ESV

Faith for Fulfillment Given to Believers

The fulfillment of this prophetic word set into motion the required faith for the unveiling of the restoration of all things to those who will have faith. When Jesus was resurrected the restoration of all things in heaven and earth was fulfilled positionally and awaits faith activation in order to realize our full salvation. God has set in place all things pertaining to full salvation; we must experientially receive. God does not impose reconciliation upon us but rather bids us to agree that it is complete in Jesus the Christ.

From this point forward Jesus began to demonstrate for all mankind that which is required of believers in order to facilitate the totality of the “at hand” Kingdom of God. The faith foundation being mandated by God and demonstrated by Jesus the Anointed was actually listed in Isaiah 61:4-9. These mandates have been given to each and every believer. These mandates are our generic faith mandates and are given to bring an end to sin.

What Must We Do?

Then they (we as trees of righteousness…plantings of the Lord) will rebuild the ancient ruins, they will rise up the former devastations; and they will repair the ruined cities, the desolations of many generations.

Isaiah 61:4 NASU

Every individual is likened to a city. Not only are we to rebuild the ancient ruins, former devastations and ruined cities but first individual and corporate human cities must be relieved of the desolations of many generations. Restored literal cites is a product of individual human cities walking in the fullness of salvation. Remember that God through Jesus His Christ has made us trees of righteousness, plantings of the Lord. We are totally equipped with love and life!

Strangers will stand and pasture your flocks, and foreigners will be your farmers and your vinedressers.

Isaiah 61:5 NASU

Strangers and foreigners will be drawn to us by the goodness of
God being demonstrated in the Church. The strangers and foreigners having received a witness of the goodness of God are drawn into a place of servitude. It is only the goodness of God which brings forth a true turning to God.

Benefits of Fulfilling Our Anointed (Christed) Mandate

But you will be called the priests of the Lord; you will be spoken of as ministers of our God. You will eat the wealth of nations, and in their riches you will boast.

Instead of your shame you will have a double portion, and instead of humiliation they will shout for joy over their portion. Therefore they will possess a double portion in their land, Everlasting joy will be theirs.

For I, the Lord, love justice, I hate robbery in the burnt offering; And I will faithfully give them their recompense and make an everlasting covenant with them.

Then their offspring will be known among the nations, and their descendants in the midst of the peoples. All who see them will recognize them because they are the offspring whom the Lord has blessed.

Isaiah 61:6-9 NASU

No Disclaimers Found

Jesus has and continues to totally fulfill the responsibility of his calling as savior of the world. I find no disclaimer in the holy written word of God. A disclaimer is a statement that denies something, especially responsibility. There are no additional responses required by Jesus to God in fulfilling the redemption of mankind.

Jesus declared 2000 years ago that it (redemption) is finished…redemption of mankind is in place and available to all who will believe. This is why our New Covenant declares that today is the day of salvation and that now is the accepted time.

Jesus is “Fixing” To…

A diabolical fallacy concerning our Messiah is that he is to return in the future to fix every wrong. Jesus has already rescued his Church. Again all is fixed in Christ’s death and resurrection. By faith in the fulfilled responsibility of Jesus, with the total absence of disclaimers, the bride is making herself ready by the power of Jesus’ advent 2000 years ago. Again there is no second advent for the rescue of the Church. The bride of Christ is without spot or blemish made possible through the finished work of the cross; making available present tense resurrection life.

Jesus is the last day(s)! Christ’s full presence in the Earth came 2000 years ago. Christ’s disciples acknowledge Christ’s eternal presence in the following passage of scripture.

As He (Jesus) was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, "Tell us, when will these things happen, and what will be the sign of your coming (Greek parousia i.e. presence), and of the end of the age?"

Matthew 24:3 NASU

The disciples wanted to know what the tokens and indicators of Christ’s obvious presence and the end of the age. The disciples equated Christ’s presence with the end of the age. Positionally Christ has overcome the age of sin. Indicators of Christ’s presence and subsequent rending of sin are all of those events found in the “Olivet Discourse” in Matthew 24 and also in the synoptic Gospel’s of Mark and Luke.

Jesus preached that the Kingdom of God is at hand. Jesus fully represented God’s kingdom so therefore we know that the presence of Jesus is the presence of the Kingdom of God.

It is the gospel of Christ’s presence alluded to in the following verse which must be preached and attested to in order for the consummation of the age of sin to be fully realized. We are to utilize the already in place presence of Christ experientially and see the earth filled with the knowledge of the glory of God.

Jesus said, "This gospel of the kingdom (Gospel of his presence) shall be preached in the whole world as a testimony (an actual  hands on witness) to all the nations, and then the end will come.

Matthew 24:14 NASU

Things Happen and Jesus Comes or Jesus Comes and Things Happen?

…so, you too, when you see all these things, recognize that He is near, right at the door.

Matthew 24:33 NASU

This verse is clear in relating all of the happenings of the “Olivet Discourse” to the presence of Jesus our Messiah. THESE THINGS DON’T HAPPEN AND THEN JESUS COMES…THESE THINGS HAPPEN ONLY BECAUSE HE HAS COME!

All of these things alluded to in this verse are the indicators or happenings listed in Matthew 24. We have been witnessing these things for 2000 years; therefore we know that Jesus was near and at hand both at that time and now.

"Truly I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place.

Matthew 24:34 NASU

Generation in this verse is a Greek word which means to cause to be; to bring into existence. This is not a literal age group of people who happened to be living at the time Jesus spoke generating these words. Jesus was simply saying that the words contained in Matthew 24 will be totally fulfilled (not pass away) because these are spoken words from God. Proof that generation is the word of God and not a literal age group is found in the verse following the one above. Scripture interprets scripture.

Heaven and earth will pass away, but my (generated) words will not pass away.”

Matthew 24:35 NASU

This verse is proof that generation used here is a generation of the word of God; words which will totally be fulfilled.

Note: Many who call themselves partial preterist wrongly base their doctrine of eschatology on the false understanding that these verses must have for the most part had to have been fulfilled before the death of the generation of people alive at that time.

The term preterism comes from the Latin praeter, which is listed in Webster’s 1913 dictionary as a prefix denoting that something is "past.”

Again I believe that Jesus was simply saying that these generated words would be fulfilled (and not pass away) bringing an end to the age of sin.

So Let Us Do the Following…

Scribed in the Book of Revelation we find that Jesus said the following:

"I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end."

Revelation 22:13 NASU

Jesus said on the cross that “It is finished.” Jesus said 2000 years ago that he is the omega (last letter of the Greek alphabet),

,last and the end. I hear the spirit of God saying, “There ain’t no more!”

Jesus as the omega is the fulfillment of the Greek alphabet; Jesus has communicated once and for all the fullness of his presence. From the Book of Revelation we know that our Messiah is totally revealed (apocalypse). Jesus is the last and end of the fulfillment of the promise of Messiah. If there is to be a second advent of Messiah then Jesus would be untruthful by calling himself omega, the last and the end.

I believe that Jesus can and will literally and physically appear at any time to those who can see him with the eyes of the heart. Jesus ascended into a cloud out of the onlookers sight and will in the same manner return as we have sight to see him. The mature bride of Christ is now seeing him with pure eyes of the heart. Jesus is come and continues to come a second time and a second time and a second…never ending time.

Jesus our Messiah Has “Come” and is “Come”

We find in the Book of Revelation at least 37 times the English words come or coming translated from the original Greek text. The Greek verbs indicated are never used in a future tense! In English If you tell me you are coming to my house then to me your coming is a future event. This is not so in the Greek tenses  of come or coming.

The Greek word for come or coming in all 37 uses in the Book of Revelation is the imperfect tense and present tense. The Greek lexicon identifies the word for come or coming as erchomai (er’-khom-ahee); middle voice of a primary verb (used only in the present and imperfect tenses.) The present and imperfect Greek verb tense is described as follows:

Greek Present Tense

In English, we know that the present tense describes something happening right now.  It informs us of the time when an action takes place. In Greek, however, the present tense primarily tells us the type of action.  The Greek present tense indicates continued action, something that happens continually or repeatedly, or something that is in the process of happening.

Greek Imperfect Tense

The Greek imperfect tense is straight forward.

Past time – Imperfect always describes something that happens in the past.

Continued action – Imperfect always describes something that is continued, repeated or habitual.

Has Jesus our Messiah Come?

In light of the revealed Greek verb tenses let us look at just one of the key verses found in the Book of Revelation which uses the English translation “come“ or “coming.”

He who testifies to these things says, "Yes, I (Jesus) am coming quickly." Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.

Revelation 22:20 NASU

Paraphrased this verses is saying, “Yes, I (Jesus) have come and continue to come to cut short. Even so be it (amen) Lord Jesus you have come and continue to come.”

There is nothing in this verse that implies a future coming; on the contrary Jesus has come and continues today making himself available to all who will believe. Glory to God forevermore!

Rejoice saints in knowing that our Messiah has come in the fullness of the love of his God and our Father God granting all believers victory over sin and death. Let us preach and witness the Gospel of his presence (Matthew 24:3) bringing an end to all evil (Matthew 24:14) in earth and heaven. He has come!
